Empower Afghan Girls is a non-profit organization founded with the unwavering belief that education is a right, not a privilege. In a time when countless Afghan girls have been denied access to learning, we stand as a voice of hope and a force for change.

Born from personal experience and deep dedication, our mission is to support, protect, and promote girls’ education across Afghanistan, even in the face of repression and danger. Our founder, Abdul Rahim Himat, began this journey by secretly teaching girls in his village—risking his own safety to ensure they could continue learning under Taliban rule. That commitment lives on through our work today.
